A COLLABORATIVE ART PROJECT
TO BRING MEALS, WATER, HEALTHCARE & INNOVATIVE EDUCATION TO THE TRASH PICKER KIDS OF BALI
THE STORY OF THE KIDS OF SUWUNG
AND THE FORGOTTEN TRASH PICKERS OF BALI
On the 35 hectare-long, 40-meter-tall mountain, 1,300 tons of trash get dumped every day. A community of 250 families live there and survive by salvaging everything valuable from the waste, and most especially plastic.
KESIA & HER FRIENDS
ORDINARY KIDS IN A NOT SO ORDINARY WORLD
She is a happy and quirky little girl who likes to go to school, to draw and to dance, she wants to become a teacher one day. She doesn’t see her parents much and has very strong bonds with her friends with whom she likes to play a lot.
Although most of the younger kids don’t climb the mountain to pick trash anymore, there are still a few up there and especially from new families. It is extremely important to assist them so the kids can join Bali Life Foundation ASAP and stay safe in this little haven.

A CLEAR MISSION
DAILY MEALS, CLEAN WATER, HEALTH CARE, INNOVATIVE EDUCATION
Bali life have built a school in Suwung where the kids go everyday, a safe haven where they receive support and education so they have a chance for a brighter future.
Ragam Foundation has been distributing meals in Suwung every single day for over a year now, but funds are running low and they need to make sure the program is maintained as the kids would be malnourished without this help.
INNOVATIVE EDUCATION
THE "NEW LIFE COMMUNITY ART GARDENS"
Our breakfast program will provide them with the nutrients they lack most, such as protein, vitamins, calcium, and more. In our on-site kitchen, we will also empower mothers by teaching them to prepare healthy breakfasts for their children every day.
Our water program emphasizes the importance of hydration using a game where the kids get their own personalized refilled bottle and are rewarded for drinking water. Additionally, the program focuses on nutrition, overall health and environment education.
Other programs expand to include art, technology, media, storytelling and reading classes providing opportunities for creative expression and personal development to each child’s affinities.

CREATING ART
TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT POVERTY & PLASTIC POLLUTION IN BALI
Plastic Angels is an artistic collaboration between outstanding Indonesian and International artists to create artworks in a variety of media (illustration, stencil, painting, collage, sculpture, video, photo, etc.) using plastic collected straight from Suwung’s trash mountain and the beaches and rivers of Bali.
Each piece of art portrays a child from the trash community, it is linked to their individual story with a QR code which will allow to interact with them and follow the impact that our actions have on them.
Raising awareness around Bali’s hidden poverty and plastic pollution problems is of major importance as there is still an unacceptable amount of people who are unaware of the alarming proportion of those issues on the island. We want to bring the light on the incredible social and environmental impact organizations that have dedicated their lives to making a difference and working towards the changes that our world desperately needs.
LARGE SCALE INTERACTIVE ART EXHIBITIONS
IN REAL LIFE VENUES & IN THE METAVERSE
Tens of thousands of people will be exposed to the art as it is transported around, displayed at some of Bali’s largest venues & galleries, and painted on walls all across the island. It will be converted into Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs), which will be displayed and made available for purchase in our interactive Metaverse gallery.
